Transportation and Land Use Agenda August 5, 6:30-8PM Laurelhurst Cafe, 4611 E Burnside (Note: the location has changed from Fred Meyer)
1) Scheduling a bike ride to highlight coming improvements to our bikeway system. Let us set a date and route for Neighborhood Ride #1 (10 minutes)
2) The Demolition at 325 NE 57th. What is happening, what will happen and what are our options as a neighborhood. One option is to let the neighborhood deconstruct/salvage what we can one house at a time (two will be demolished with four units replacing them), or should I try to negotiate with the developer for a total deconstruction and try to save the property to the south. 20 minutes
3) Low density in-fill, saving current structures and the future of affordable housing. Can we come up with a plan to connect these two concepts in an overall whole for our lower density residential (primarily single family) neighborhoods. (30 minutes)
4) 7:30 PM Start: Safety on NE 47th from NE Glisan to SE Stark. What should we look at? What are the current conflicts, and possible solutions. How can we integrate future safety improvements with CURBS (A Burnside Modernization) and the future 45th greenway. 30 minutes. This will include a walk about to see what the issues are and visualize solutions.
