Volunteer with Friends of Trees on January 23rd

Join Friends of TreesĀ in planting trees in Sunnyside, Kerns, Laurelhurst, and North Tabor Neighborhoods on January 23rd!

More information is available on the Facebook event page.

We especially need pick up truck drivers, planting volunteers and early morning staging help (arrive by 7 a.m.)!

To plant, please arrive to the staging site at Sunnyside Centenary United Methodist Church (3520 SE Yamhill St) by 8:45am to enjoy some hot coffee and breakfast treats. The planting starts promptly at 9:00am. We provide gloves and tools, so all you need to do is show up dressed for the weather and wearing sturdy shoes. Our neighborhood volunteers will also provide a potluck lunch for all volunteers after the planting is complete.

Looking to volunteer as a group? RSVPs are kindly requested for groups of more than 5 people – Please contact Jenny & Randi at (503) 595-0213 to do so.

RSVPs are not required for individuals or groups of 4 or fewer — you can simply show up! If you want to drive your truck or plant by bike, let us know by signing up here: http://www.friendsoftrees.org/volunteering#truckdrivers

Also, there’s still time to sign up for trees – let us know you’re interested by 12/21/15 by singing up here: https://friendsoftrees.org/plant-it-programs

We look forward to seeing you there!
