ODOT seeks comments on noise variance for upcoming I-84 roadwork

The Oregon Department of Transportation will install new electronic signs on I-84, with work beginning next summer as part of the ODOT RealTime project. You can find more information about the signs at www.odotrealtime.org.

The work will require lane closures, and will be done at night to minimize impacts to traffic. ODOT has applied for a noise variance from the City of Portland. The agency will be going before the City of Portland Noise Review Board on Wednesday, Dec. 9 at 6 p.m.

If any neighborhood residents want to provide comments or testimony related to the noise variance, there are three options:

  • Email testimony to ODOT prior to Dec. 8, 2015 to: Lili.D.Boicourt@odot.state.or.us
  • Call ODOT Community Affairs prior to Dec. 8, 2015 at 503-731-8247
  • Attend the City of Portland Noise Review Board meeting: Wednesday, Dec. 9, 2015, 6 p.m. Portland City Hall, 1221 SW 4th Avenue, Lovejoy Room (2nd floor)

The full details are listed on the mailer ODOT prepared and sent to all residents adjacent to I-84:
