Meeting began at 7 PM

50’s Bikeway presentation

Rich Newlands from the Portland Bureau of Transportation presented on the 50’s Bikeway planning effort.  The bikeway would fill a large north-south gap in the bike network.  A community advisory committee is working on proposals that will be presented to the public sometime in January or February.  Meetings are open to the public and information can be found at http://www.portlandonline.com/transportation/index.cfm?c=53345.

Discussion of future of North Tabor Neighborhood Association

Kevin Matson described how the current remaining board members have decided to all resign because of personal reasons, and difficulty getting community participation in neighborhood association activities.  If new board members don’t emerge the neighborhood association might have to dissolve.

Tim O’Neal gave a summary of the neighborhood system in Portland, described what support SE Uplift could give a new board, and answered questions from the audience.

10 nominations for the board were taken from the floor.  Candice Jordan made a motion to elect the slate of nominated candidates.  Lori Kennedy seconded.  The motion carried with 21 in favor, zero opposed, and one abstention.

Meeting adjourned at 8:30 PM
