project

Allen Brown of the Rose City neighborhood  talked about the effects on the north side of I 84 that the 60th Max station project would  have, after he went to the public hearing on the  60th Max Station project and did not get input  from NTNA because none of the board mem bers were able to attend the hearing. All began  discussing the zoning changes related to the  region around the 60th Max Station and what  outcomes were desired. The question was  brought up as to whether the 1980 compre hensive plan would be disrupted by the rezone  project and everyone at the meeting was en couraged to comment on the project since the  comment period was still open.

7. Providence Master  Plan & GNA

25

The Providence Master Plan was discussed in  relation to the Good Neighbor Agreement with  North Tabor and Laurelhurst. The issues of  blank walls/blank wall design for buildings on  Glisan, a skybridge that removes users from  the community and street patronage, the con tinued occupation of the retail space on Glisan  by Elderplace (going against the GNA of 2003  which indicated that Providence would remove  Elderplace from that location in 2009), the lack  of clarity in the plans for the 47th and Glisan  intersection changes, the unknown/undisclosed  number of additional parking and provider  spaces being added, and the cell towers on the  recently acquired building that NTNA asked  Providence to remove were all discussed as  points to include in the enhanced/renewed  GNA with Providence.

How NTNA could best support efforts put for ward by the Providence GNA Committee for  North Tabor and Laurelhurst was also dis cussed.

Providence short and long-term development  plans and the buildings under construction or  newly constructed (such as the parking struc ture on the North side I-84 in the Hollywood

area) were also discussed. *Note: The old  Good Neighbor Agreement with Providence  was an attachment in the Jan. 2011 minutes.

The next meeting between Providence and the  NTNA-Laurelhurst GNA Committee will be set  for either April 27th or May 4th depending on the  Providence representatives’ availability.

Zach Michaud took note of  the points voiced as impor tant by NTNA members and  will do best to include in GNA  as feasible.

Zach will advise the NTNA  Board of the date once it is  decided.
