2. Mt. Tabor Park Summer  Concerts

10

Roger Warren of the Parks Committee asked for support from  NTNA for the Mt. Tabor Park Summer Concert series through a  monetary contribution of $250 and any volunteers that might be  inclined to contribute. It was noted that NTNA has contributed to  this event in years past and that the $250 contribution level is that  which provides recognition in the brochures of the event. There  was also the offer of a table space if any board members wanted  to provide info on NTNA at the event. During summer the event  will be four concerts with multiple bands from 6-8pm.

Heidi Beierle made a  motion to support the  Mt. Tabor Park Sum

mer Concerts with a  contribution of $250  from NTNA.

Jacob Wollner

The motion passed  unanimously.

7. SEUL Neighborhood  Small Grants: North Ta

bor Identity Project.

10

Moonrose Doherty and Gail Morris were successful in putting to gether a plan and proposal for the SEUL Neighborhood small  grants and got the grant for utility pole neighborhood banners  identifying North Tabor that would be placed along Glisan in con junction with a neighborhood recognition, health and safety fair.  The partner for the event is Fred Meyer and since a variety of  organizations will be invited to provide resources to North Tabor  residents about what is available to them in terms of resources,  how to be healthy, safe, and how to get engaged in the North Ta bor community, Gail and Moonrose will need lots of help contact ing organizations. Help is needed organizing for the event, pro moting the project, and managing the design submissions from  the neighborhood for the banners. A second meeting is set for  March 6th at 7pm at Laurelhurst Café and will be promptly posted  on the northtabor.org website and published in the North Tabor  News Mar/Apr issue.

There was some discussion about the design submission selec tion process and the majority of the voices were in favor of a se lection process that would be held during the April 17th NTNA  General Meeting where those in attendance have the opportunity  to review the submissions over refreshments and write down their  favorite submission on a card handed out and then collected. Then the cards would be reviewed and counted by the board at a  designated time close to the end of the meeting. Then the win ning design would be announced.
