North Tabor Neighborhood Association

Monthly Meeting

Date: Tuesday, September 19, 3017

Time: 6:30 – 8:00PM

Location: 4837 NE Couch St (Community of Christ Church)

NTNA General Meeting

Meeting called to order at 6:30PM.

Board Members present: Sarah Mongue, Sam Fuqua, Cathy Riddell, Lars Kasch,Chuck Tubens, Will Roberts, Joshua Carey and Lisa Hirsh.

Board Members absent: Harmony Prinsen.

Neighbors and Guests: 

Quorum @ 6:30PM

  1. Intro of Attendees (Josh, All)
  • Went around the room and did introductions of everyone present.

II.          Approval of Agenda (Josh/All)

  • Sam Fuqua motioned to approve the September agenda, Will Roberts seconded the motion. All approved.

III.          Approval of August minutes and Emergancy Meeting minutes 8/29/17 (Josh/All)

  • Sarah Mongue motioned to approve the August meeting minutes, Lisa Hersch seconded the motion.  All approved.
  • Emergency Meeting Minutes 8/29/17
  • Will Roberts motioned to approve the minutes, Sam Fuqua seconded the motion.  All approved.

IV.         Approve to co-Sponsor a Neighborhood Clean-up with Mt Tabor NA April 28th, 2018

  • Sam Fuqua motioned to approve doing a clean-up with MTNA, Sarah Mongue seconded the motion.  All approved.
  • Will talk about getting a committee going to work with Mt Tabor at the November meeting.

V.         SEUL Update

  • The new Executive Director Molly Mayo, Co-Chairs Terry Dublinski-Milton and Reuben Deumling. The mission of the board is: To assist the citizens and neighborhood associations of Southeast Portland* to create communities that are livable, socially diverse, safe and vital. Southeast Uplift provides an organizational structure and forum to empower citizens to effectively resolve issues of livability and community development. (SEUP Web site)

  • Board report and retreat will be 9/22/2017

VI.        Emergency Preparedness NET with Glenn Devitt and Jan Molinaro Sunnyside NET team

  • Glenn Devitt and Jan Molinaro talked about the role of a NET team and how they can be a part of the neighborhood association.
  • See portlandoregon.gov/net for information about joining a NET and how to get trained.

VII.          Adjourn at 8:15PM

Next meeting is October 17, 2017 with Mayor Ted Wheeler at our guest speaker and board elections will happen at the end of the meeting.
