Monthly Meeting

Date: Tuesday, January 16, 2018

Time: 6:30 – 8:00PM

NTNA General Meeting

Meeting called to order at 6:35PM.

Board Members present: Sarah Mongue, Sam Fuqua, Chuck Tubens, Joshua Carey, Robert Jordan, Dawn Madden, Emma Stocker, Patty Lackaff, Suzanne Gardner, Lisa Hersh, Lars Kasch and Stephanie Kaza

Board Members absent:

Guest: Victoria Morgan. Keith Dechant, Michelle Harrelde and Kate Kay McGuire

Quorum @ 6:35PM

  1. Welcome and Introductions
  • Everyone on went around the table and introduced themselves

II.         Approval of Agenda

  • Chuck Tubens motioned to approve the agenda with no corrections, Lisa Hersh seconded the motion. All approved.

III.         Approval of December 2017 Minutes

  • With corrections to the approval of last month agenda (Sam Fuqua motioned and Chuck Tubens approved), Robert Jordan motioned and Lisa Hersh seconded. Vote: All aprpoved.

IV.        Transportation Update

  • Co-Chairs Robert Jordan and Patty Lackaff asked for 10 minutes on next months meeting about painting curbs.
  • Discussion on the 60th Bike Lane project. Patty and Robert will talk with the PBOT Project Manager for a status update. Will have a Land Use/Transportation meeting on this topic in the coming months. Make sure to invite Terry Dublinski.
  • Transportation Bond for METRO and PBOT of 1 Billion to 1.5 Billion will not be in the 2018 cycle. Maybe for 2019.
  • City Council voted to reduce speed limits in neighborhoods from 25mph to 20mph.
  • 67th needs a speed survey done. Need to request that through PBOT.
  • 55th got two new speed humps.

IVa.         Land Use

  • 53rd and Couch the lots have been surveyed and sidewalks have been fixed.
  • 5143 NE Burnside demolition has been started.
  • 58th and Burnside is being developed by Renaissance Homes. Selling for $600K and up.

 V. Treasury Report

  • We currently have $3800 in the bank.
  • Canvas Host needs to be paid $115.00 for hosting services
  • Need to make sure that all outstanding donations have been paid.

VI. New Business

  • Robert Jordan announced that Friends of Trees is doing a planting on February 3rd @ 9AM and is still looking for volunteers. Erica Timm is the volunteer coordinator.
  • Emma Stocker motioned and Patty Lackaff seconded to donate $100 for Friends of Trees to help with refreshments.

VII. North Star

  • Michelle Harrelden and Kate Kay McGuire presented.
  • Will put NorthStar info on our web site.

VIII.         Communications Update

  • Robert Jordan moved to form a committee and approve $300 to get the flyers printed and distributed. Emma Stocker seconded the motion. All approved.
  • Patty Lackaff, Josh Carey, Robert Jordan, Emma Stocker and Sarah Mongue will meet to get the flyer created.

Meeting adjourned at 7:55PM -Robert Jordan motioned and Josh Carey seconded the motion.
