North Tabor Neighborhood Association

Monthly Meeting

Date: Tuesday, February 19, 2019

Time: 6:30 – 8:00PM

Location: 4837 NE Couch St (Community of Christ Church)

Meeting called to order at 6:35PM

Board Members present: Sarah Mongue, Sam Fuqua, Chuck Tubens, Robert Jordan,Lars Kasch, Zach Michaud, Stephanie Kaza and Keith Dechant

Board Members absent: Patty Lackaff, Suzanne Gardner

Guest:  Gaby Saldana

Quorum @ 6:35PM

I. Call to Order and Introductions (Robert):

  • Only board members tonight.

II. Call for Amendments to the Agenda (Robert):

  • None called

III. Approval of December meeting minutes (Robert):

  • Sam motioned, Lars 2nd. All approved.

IV. Select new SEUL and Providence GNA Rep (Robert):

  • 82nd Ave improvement Open House. Check SEUL web site for more info.
  • Demolition on 230 NE 65th. Old house on a big lot.

V. Treasurer Report (Patty):

  • No change in amount.
  • $650 to Zach
  • $100 for Friends of Trees

VI. Communications Report (Keith):

  • Web Site Hosting account credit card is expired. Need a new one.
  • Patty can send a check, so will need an address and info to do that.
  • Keith was able to move the email lists. Was able to add emails to the board@ntna.org
  • Have an issue sending emails from Gmail, but other mail serves ok. Need to do some more research on this issue.
  • Cleaning up the web site – old pages, etc.
  • Email list for everyone that has attended. Keith will administor this going forward.
  • Legacy manual for every position would be a good thing to develop. All positions should be doing this right now, so if something happens, then someone can take over.

VII. Land Use/Transportation Report (Lisa/Lars):

  • Meeting is next week.
  • Temporary no parking signs up on 57th and Glisan St – sewer work might be going on.
  • Will report on the nexts meeting.

VIII. Clean-up Progress Report (Patty/Sarah):

  • April 27th
  • Patty attending SEUL coordinators meeting tonight

IX. Mandala Project (Zach):

  • 2nd weekend in February was the potluck – 7 folks attended
  • Found left over paint at the church – 13 gallons; 7 gallons yellow and 4 gallons blue
  • Already got a volunteer to power wash the morning of
  • Village Buildng Convergance (VBC) meeting February 28th @ St Philip Neri 6:00PM – 8:30PM
  • Design meeting – values and ideas to share for the design – 1st weekend of March
  • Would like to use the church for a the March meeting. Zach will need to contact Val when we would like to use the room.

X. National Night Out – What’s Our Plan? (Robert)

  • 1st Tuesday of August
  • Encourage small parties to happen

XI. Draft agenda for March meeting:

  • Mass mailing for the clean-up in March. Hand deliver a larger flyer.
  • Clean-up guide
  • Deliver the 1st or 2nd week of April
  • Robert will look into getting crime prevention for the April 16th meeting

  • Sam will be gone next
