I. Call to Order and Introductions (Robert):
– No SEUplift Report
– Lars moved, Patty seconded, All approved
II. Approval of Agenda
– With corrections
– Stephanie moved, Lars seconded, All approved
III. Approval of April meeting minutes (Robert):
– Lars motioned, Chuck seconded
– All approved
V. SEUL Update:
– No report
VI. Treasurer Report/Clean-up Report (Patty):
– $3,328.20 current bank account
– Grossed $6,390.70 from the clean-up
– Robert motioned to give $250 to the Mt Tabor Art Project
– Lisa moved, Chuck seconded, All approved $250 donation
– MTNA already has approved $250 to the project
– Signs to Chuck
VII. Land Use/Transportation Report (Lisa/Lars):
– Bureau of Planning and Sustainability reported out on the multi dwelling units throughout Portland. Finding out that most places are over priced, moving to smaller places, cheaper
– Want to get money to have a feasiblity study to talk about moving the Union Pacific Brooklyn and Albina rail yards
– City of Portland survey emailed out
IX. Mandala Project (Zach):
– Got 80% or more signatures for the project – neighbors
– Design approved by the City
– June 8th for mandala painting
– June 9th is the touch-up date
– If it rains, August 2nd and 3rd will be the alternative dates
– Paint ordered and will be delivered May 28th. Zach will pick up the paint.
– $342.00 for paint and walnut additive.
– Reaching out to the Block Party Barricade folks for barricades. If we need to pay for the barricades, lets do that.
– Will buy new brushes for this project.
– $492.00 check will be cut to Zach to cover expenses by Patty.
– Robert motioned, Sam seconded. All in favor. Patty will do this.
– Signs advertising the painting. Robert has signs to use.
X. Communications Report (Keith):
– Google group distribution list – send out the street painting flyer.
– Has admin Facebook access.
XI. New Business
– Repair/maintain the NTNA banners
– Cathy Riddell did the maintenace back in 2016.
– Keith will get the information about the banners from Cathy and report out to the group next month.
– Robert will put this on the agenda for June.
– Rep Barbara Smith-Warner (everything north of Glisan St) would like to attend the June meeting to talk with folks.
