Monthly Meeting

Board Members present: Sarah Mongue, Robert Jordan, Lisa Maddocks, Patty Lackaff, Keith, Stephanie Kaza, Suzanne Gardner
Board Members absent: Sam Fuqua, Kim and Lars Kasch, Chuck Tubens Guest:
Quorum @ 6:35PM
I. Call to Order and Introductions (Robert):
– 6:33pm called to order
II. Minutes from July Meeting
– Lisa motioned, Stephanie moved
– All approved
V. Treasurer Report (Patty):
– $3646.50 in the bank
VI. SEUL Update (Stephanie):
– Budget was cut by the City
– $20K of community grants out of their own budget
– Clean-ups will be TBD
– Tina Kimmie is the chair is working really well
– Three new board members voted on the board. 82nd Ave Business Association (Business), OMSI and Reed College (At Large) are on the board.
VII. Land Use/Transportation Report (Lisa/Lars):
– Tom Armstrong from the Bureau of Sustainability has created Anti-Displacement Task Force
– Residential Infill Project was passed on 8/12/2020
– Lisa will send us links for the this presentation
VIII. Communications Report (Keith):
– Scam emails have been hitting the board emails. Pay attention to the return address.
IIX. New Business:
– Elections in October
– How to get more folks to participate
– A flyer to advertise at the new apartments on Glisan St.
– Ask Leah Fisher about how to handle Zoom meetings and how we can do out elections – Robert
– Patty Lackaff motioned to dispose of the paint out of Robert’s garage. Zack wants to have the paint. Lisa seconded and all approved to give paint to Zack.
– This is a really important time to make these donations to our community during this time of public health emergency. Suzanne motioned to donate $1200 to the following non profits:
– Community of Christ $300
– Grace Covenant Fellowship Church $300
– Friend of Mt Tabor Park $200
– Friend of Laurelhurst Park $200
– Northstar $200
– Patty seconded the motion. All in favor of the donations.

Lisa motioned and Keith seconded. All approved.
