Will there be any plastic recycling available?
We weren’t able to get a recycling partner this year for hauling, but it looks like the city will accept some types of plastic for free
Plastic milk jugs, bottles (with neck or threaded opening) Remove lids and empty contents.
Plastic tubs: Yogurt, cottage cheese, salsa, margarine containers, etc.; cat litter and laundry detergent buckets. Recycle clean tubs and buckets in the same bin as plastic bottles and jars; plastic handles are OK. Plastic plant pots are also accepted free of charge.
you can find out more on their site at https://www.oregonmetro.gov/tools-living/garbage-and-recycling/garbage-recycling-hazardous-waste-disposal-portland
I hope we will be able to include more broad recycling in our cleanup event next year
