Your voice matters! If you have concerns about dangerous intersections, speeding, poor visibility, or other traffic safety issues in the North Tabor neighborhood, we encourage you to report them directly to the City of Portland.
How to Report a Traffic Safety Concern
The Portland Bureau of Transportation (PBOT) has a dedicated program called 823-SAFE designed to address traffic safety concerns.
- Visit the PBOT 823-SAFE website:
portland.gov/transportation/823-safe - Describe the Issue:
Be clear about the location, the safety concern, and any details that can help the city evaluate the problem. Examples include:- Speeding vehicles
- Poorly marked crosswalks
- Missing or damaged signage
- Visibility issues (overgrown vegetation, parked cars, etc.)
- Request Follow-Up (Optional):
PBOT may follow up with you to gather additional details or provide updates on improvements.
Why Reporting Matters
By reporting these concerns, you help improve safety for pedestrians, cyclists, and drivers alike. Each report helps PBOT identify problem areas and prioritize safety improvements.
