Portland Community of Christ will host an event for the International Day of Prayer for Peace from 2:00-7:30 PM on Sunday, September 20, 2015. Come and celebrate the work that is already being done in Portland for homeless individuals and families. We’ll also create a vision of hope for the future in continuing to encourage a permanent solution to the crisis of homelessness in our city. Activities include a keynote address, breakout sessions presented by several local non-profits, a homeless simulation activity, a light meal, and an evening interfaith service including a Peace award honoring the mission of a local non-profit serving the homeless population.

We are still looking for sponsorship support for the evening meal and other event costs.
