Meet Father’s House, which was established in 1999. Here is an overview from Senior Leader Ty Bottler: We first started in downtown Portland, and met on the Portland State University campus for much of that time. The church has always been highly involved with its surrounding community, and has sought to serve those in the neighborhood we are in. Over the last two and half decades, we have had the honor to serve the students on the campus of Portland State University, businesses, non-profit organizations, the police, politicians, the homeless, and everyday citizens. We have done this through meeting a variety of felt needs. Last year we were blessed to be able to purchase the old Lighthouse Mission church building at 337 NE 47th Ave. We love the North Tabor neighborhood, and we’re excited to be a part of the community. From day one, we have been welcomed very positively from surrounding neighbors and businesses, and we’re looking forward to continuing to partner with the community in future endeavors. On Saturday, August 19th, we will be hosting a neighborhood party from 11 AM to 3 PM. There will be food, music, a bouncy house for the kids, and a lot of other games for people to enjoy. Everyone in the neighborhood is welcome to join us.  Thank you!
